Welcome to Busy Days!

Creating an Account

Go to app.busydays.fi and choose how you’d like to sign up:

With Email:

  • Click “Sign up”
  • Enter your email address, password, and name
  • Choose the app language you want to use

With Google:

  • Click “Sign up with Google”
  • Select your Google account
  • Grant Busy Days permission to use Google for sign-in

When you sign in, you can turn on Keep me signed in on trusted devices so your session lasts longer. Do not use this on shared or public computers.

You can change the app language on the sign-in and sign-up screens before you enter Busy Days.

First-time setup

Busy Days guides new users through the first setup after account creation.

  • Choose whether you want to use Busy Days for yourself or with a family.
  • Enable the modules you want to use, such as Chores, Events, or Meals.
  • Create a family group during setup if you choose family use. See Groups.
  • Choose whether Busy Days may collect usage insights to improve the service.

After the initial setup, Busy Days can guide you step by step through getting started with each module you enabled — for example, adding your first events, chores, or a meal plan. You can pause this guided setup at any time and pick it up later:

  • Look for the Resume setup banner on Home or in Settings to continue where you left off.
  • If you dismissed it, use Run setup again in Settings to start it again whenever you like.

If your email address is not verified, Busy Days may show a reminder on Home. You can hide the reminder for 14 days.

Choose your preferred settings:

  • Profile: Personalize your profile by uploading a profile picture or choosing a color for yourself.
  • Language: English or Finnish
  • Content language: Some assistant and AI wording can follow a content language separate from the menu language; adjust it where the app exposes it if replies are not in the language you want.
  • Time Settings: Choose your time format, day start time, and time zone. The selector may show live examples for your locale.
  • Theme: Select your preferred theme, or choose “Follow system theme” to match your device’s light or dark mode.
  • Modules: Enable the modules you want, or try them all.
  • Vacations: See and manage all your upcoming vacations in one place. Vacations are always available, and adjust Chores, Meals, and Busy Bee's calendar answers for the dates you choose. See Calendar.
  • Notifications: Turn on notifications for reminders, group activity, and other alerts. Enabling notifications on a new device does not turn them off on your other devices. On a device you share with someone else, notifications go to whichever account most recently turned them on there; if another account takes over notifications on a device you use, sign in and follow the prompt to turn them back on for yourself.
  • Invitations: Open Settings → Invitations to see group and family invitations (for example co-parent invites). You can review unread counts and use actions such as mark all as read or dismiss all where the app offers them.
  • Layout: On many screens, Settings uses expandable sections so you can open only what you need; use expand all / collapse all when the app provides those controls.

If you send a bug report from the app, you can add an optional contact email so the team can follow up with questions.

Installing as a Mobile App (PWA)

Install Busy Days on your phone as a standalone app:

iPhone / iPad:

  1. Open app.busydays.fi in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Confirm

Android:

  1. Open app.busydays.fi in Chrome
  2. Tap the menu (three dots)
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen or Install app
  4. Confirm

Subscription Options

Busy Days offers several tiers to match your needs:

  • Busy Days Basic: — one feature enabled.
  • Busy Days Plus: — two features enabled.
  • Busy Days Premium: — all features enabled.
  • Busy Days Premium One-time Purchase: — all features unlocked, with no limits, permanently.

You can see your current subscription details in the Subscription section of the Settings page (plan, billing period, status, and the next period's start date). The same section has these buttons:

  • Payment details: opens your payment information for management.
  • Change subscription: opens the Choose Subscription window, where you can change tiers and select a billing period (Monthly, Yearly, or One-time — yearly billing saves about 40% compared to the monthly price).
  • Redeem coupon: enter a discount code, if you have one.
